Sublime.

Aren't these guys cute?!  I think so. 

I hope this shows through in the photos, because it's really the emotions and personalities that for me are one of the most important elements in my photos.  Although location isn't the most important thing when choosing a spot for your engagement photoshoot,  one with lots of variety really helps!   As you can see,  Laetitia and Jonathan chose the Parc des Eaux-Vives in Geneva, which was just incredible.  

They were pretty happy with the photos too,  this was the message I got back when they had seen them:

Park life.

Parc des Eaux Vives, Geneva, is a little oasis amid the hustle and bustle of this affluent city.  It has the most magnificent trees, fabulous buildings and even a Japanese garden.  I was delighted when Anne-Sophie and Denis chose to have their engagement shoot there.

We spent a wonderful afternoon wandering through its beautiful gardens and to top it off the weather was perfect; a cloudy sky. Yes you read correctly...cloudy!  Contrary to popular belief the 'lighting' from a photography point of view is better (for me) when it's cloudy than sunny......so never fear if your wedding day doesn't have a perfect clear blue sky!

Anne-Sophie and Denis got married about 6 weeks ago at the Beau Rivage Palace, Lausanne and I am looking forward to sharing their wedding photos with you soon too!

Turkish delight.

Ayse is Turkish and Stephane Swiss, which made for a really colourful July wedding in Geneva.  They had decided that they wanted to have their couple photoshoot before their Civil Ceremony so that they could spend the maximum amount of time with their guests at the aperitif.  This is a request that I receive more and more from couples and of course I am more than happy to oblige, in my opinion the photography should enhance the day not be the focus. 


Stephane, who is a very keen photographer, had identified some of their favourite places in the Parc des Eaux Vives, Geneva before their big day.  We then spent an enjoyable hour wandering through the park to various locations where we were greeted along the way by many friendly well-wishers.  After the ceremony the guests and happy couple enjoyed an aperitif and dinner at the very regal Restaurant Parc des Eaux Vives.  Beautiful.
